One kind of sleep disorder called parasomnia is sexsomnia, sometimes referred to as sleep sex. Unusual feelings and actions, such as sleepwalking, that people may encounter or display during sleep, falling asleep, or waking up, are referred to as parasomnias. When someone has sexsomnia, they act sexually such as engaging in sexual aggressiveness, masturbating, moving sexually, or starting a sexual relationship. Even though a sleeper may make sexual noises and keep their eyes open, they are asleep during these activities and are not conscious of their actions until they are awake.
